Wildlife photography

Article text
Last weekend I attended a wildlife photography workshop at the London wetland centre. Photographer Iain Green shared some of his knowledge on photographing wildlife and I found it very inspiring and motivating. Landscape is still my first love, but I have to admit I am starting to be drawn into the challenge that photographing wildlife poses. Especially with such a great camera now, it really is tempting to diversify.

At the end of this month I am heading to Camargue in France on another Jonathan Chritchley phototour, this time photographing the wild white horses of the Camargue. It is a bit of a change of pace, combining landscape and wildlife, in what I am calling 'moving landscapes'. The course last week and also a day at Silverstone practising panning yesterday, are all in the interests of trying to come up with a great portfolio from the upcoming trip. I am also looking at some further wildlife trips as well for possibly early next year. Maybe 2011 will be the year of the wildlife.
